SAN DIMAS, Calif. – LIFE Pacific played against #1 in the nation BIOLA University Eagles Saturday night in an exhibition game. (49-72)
BIOLA University is #1 in the nation competing at the NAIA division 1 level. BIOLA currently holds a 13-1 record.
LIFE Pacific came out strong tonight but could not keep up with the Eagles pace. Multiple times in the game however, the deficit was under 10 points. The Warriors performed in front of a large crowd tonight with supporters from each team.
Edgardo Campos (JR/Covina, CA) scored high today making 11 points. Mark Eden (JR/Chino, CA) and Ramez Michail (JR/Anaheim, CA) followed with 9 and Joaquin Zavala came in with 6. Trent Rowser (JR/Pomona, CA) had a great performance on defense tonight gaining 8 rebounds and 2 blocks. LIFE Pacific rebounded 30 times tonight.
Coach Cook commented "They are a fantastic team and deserve their number 1 ranking. We didn't shoot the ball well tonight partly to the fact they play great defense. It's great to see where we are at competitively with such a great program. We will continue to get better and build this team for March . The Nccaa tournament is in our sights if we continue to bond as a team and get better. Still 5-4 and we play two counters on Monday and Tuesday in AVU tourney. Get better everyday is our motto. We are doing that."
